The caster beats forcefully on a drum for up to 4 rounds, creating a deafening roll of noise that stuns creatures in the area of effect for 1d4 rounds. A successful Fortitude save negates the stunning effect for that round. On subsequent rounds, creatures in the area of effect must succeed on an additional Fortitude save or be stunned again.

The spell continues until the caster decides to end it or 4 rounds have elapsed. Upon the end of the spell, all creatures in the area of effect, stunned or not, must succeed on an additional Fortitude save or be struck dead.

For each continuous round of drumming, the Difficulty Class of the saving throw against the spell's stunning and death effects increases by +1, to a maximum of +4 in the fourth round.
