Sample Web Designs
Below are examples of my work in web design and
freelance writing/editing. Follow the link to see the mock-up I have created to demonstrate my
skills; each link is accompanied by a descriptive note on this page to call your attention to the
most important features of the design or sample article.
This is an excerpt from Ambrose Bierce's eternally witty
lexicon. Note in particular the navigation panel I have created via CSS scripting in order to
contain the links that help you move around inside of the page. Also note the use of anchors
between the Index page and the A and B listings of the Dictionary.
This is a useful technique for organizing any large tract of material that occurs in alphabetical
or numerical order. Finally, I have made the layout pretty by introducing a number of mouse-over
effects associated with links in the navigation panel.
Sample Writings
I composed this press release to promote the January 2008 single "Buck Wild" by
Georgia country music singer Amanda Lynn of independent record label Viking Lodge Music. The folks
at Viking Lodge were kind enough to give me permission to display it as a sample.
This was composed as part of a related project. The link in the title leads you to
the biography on Amanda Lynn's official site. Again, my thanks go to Viking Lodge for their gracious
permission to display this project as a sample.
