I perform web design and development to give you a website that looks and feels professional and inviting, and that you can update without having to rely on me or any other "webmaster" figure. I offer a standard package that fit the needs of most small businesses and organizations; for large or unusual projects, I am available to discuss your needs free of charge and arrive at an estimate.

Package Deals
e-Brochure Site: I build a site in the Drupal 6 content management system, consisting of:

  • Custom-made site layout
  • Home page
  • Company Information page
  • Services/Products page
  • Contact Information page
  • Blog (optional)
  • WYSIWYG editor so anyone, regardless of technical aptitude, can create content for your new site
  • Human-friendly URLs (like this page; "http://www.emendator.net/web-design" is much easier on human visitors than "http://www.emendator.net/foo/bar/page?=foo&%asdfad%1k1c" or similar gobbledegook.

Price: $500.00 (does not include domain name registration and hosting; does not include web content writing)
Timeline: An e-Brochure site usually takes 2-4 weeks for me to prepare, depending on the amount of graphic design work needed, the complexity of your desired layout and how many sites I am working on at the time of your request.

e-Commerce Site: As the e-Brochure, but additionally I create an online storefront using the Ubercart module with Google Checkout. Available e-commerce features include:

  • Online store coupons
  • Paid site subscriptions
  • Paid downloads
  • Package deals
  • "New Products" slideshow
  • And more . . .

Price: Ask for an estimate based on your business's projected use of the site.
Timeline: e-Commerce sites have an extremely variable project timeline because of the greater scope for customization and their more demanding requirements with regard to security, quality assurance testing and store and product configuration.

Regardless of the project, I always provide support in the form of a 2-hour tutorial for any key personnel who will be using the site, and I provide free telephone and e-mail support during the first 30 days following your acceptance of a finished website.

After the initial 30 day period, I provide paid support and maintenance at a rate of $30.00 per hour for phone support.
Break/fix support and maintenance incurs charges at $70.00 per hour.
Service visits to your business's physical are charged at $90.00 per hour on site.
I am based in Hammond, LA; travel within a 50 mile radius is free of charge. Travel to more distant locations incurs charges as if I were on-site.

I am happy to arrange a monthly retainer for the maintenance and administration burdens associated with your website. For $50.00/month, I provide the following services and amenities

  • 2 hours of phone support.
  • 2 hours of break/fix support.
  • 1 update to your Drupal software.
  • 1 backup of site databases.
  • A discounted rate of $80.00 per hour for service visits.

Strong documentation and user training is enormously helpful in encouraging a smooth transition to Drupal and reducing your long-term cost of ownership. Add value to your project by adding "cheat sheets", user reference guides and additional tutorials. They will save you money by preventing avoidable calls for support and maintenance.
